Founded over thirty years ago, Blair High School ("Blair") was chosen to participate in the International Baccalaureate Program in 2005. The Health Academy of the Blair International Baccalaureate School is characterized by an integrated and international philosophy that is supported by academic rigor and opportunities to explore and learn about the world outside students' immediate community. Their belief is that all students have the potential to learn the core of knowledge that ultimately leads to a productive, independent lifestyle. They are committed to:

• provide all students, within a safe, clean, secure environment, equal access to the core curriculum, an integration of academic and vocational disciplines.
• develop effective programs to enhance every students' talents and abilities, including programs for students with special needs.
• provide programs to all students that promote multicultural, civic and environmental awareness.
• provide avenues for parent and community involvement.
The Healthy Academy is a "school within a school" that integrates academic and health career technical education designed to prepare high school students for jobs in health professions.
